FAR

FAR is a collaborative project between Fiona and America based Australian musician and composer, Ric Markmann.

Ric is also a producer and owner/partner in Matter Music – a North Hollywood based music house which creates soundtracks for television commercials, film scores and trailers (recent work includes Lord of the Rings, The Bourne Identity and Scooby Doo). He has also worked on innumerable sessions and rock albums including Chris Cornell s Euphoria Morning (bass/guitar, record and tour) and recorded bass for new Universal signing, Sleepwalker.

FAR is inspired by Fiona and Ric s shared passion for obscure and eclectic songs of the past, especially those of their shared youth in the grungy 80 s Sydney rock scene. The beautiful noise of bands like, My Bloody Valentine and darkly enchanting soundscapes of film scores like Ry Cooder s Paris Texas also colour their collaboration.
