ABOUT (OR
WHO IS THIS FIONA CHICK?)
Fiona
Horne is a Witch, author and journalist, successful recording
artist and television personality.
She
has been a practising Witch for fifteen years.
In
March 1998 Fiona's first book Witch - A Personal Journey
was published by Random House Australia and is now a best-seller,
having been reprinted nine times. Fiona attracted enormous sales
and media interest in the promotion of her book by discussing
the controversial nature of her book, hosting performance-style
nightclub and book shop events where she talked about the book,
sang, conducted rituals and demonstrated spells whilst dispelling
destructive myths about Witchcraft.
Her
follow-up book, Witch - A Magickal Year, released in October
1999 is also a best seller. Fiona embarked on a national tour
to promote her book and enjoyed enormous turn-outs at all the
places she went. Fiona spent time talking about her books, her
experiences with Wicca as well performing a ritual at each signing.
Her book signings, on average, lasted around 3 hours.
Fiona's
third book, Life's A Witch was written specifically for
teen witches as well as for teens interested in the craft. It
includes plenty of good advice for teens on how to deal with life
in general and how to be a successful teen practitioner of Wicca.
It was released in November 2000 and was an immediate success.
In a similar vein, Fiona released her Wikid Witch Kit with
Australian company Stuf at the same time. Packaged in a
funky lunch box, it contained a candle, magickal lotion and bath
salts, cord, talisman as well as CD recorded by Fiona, guiding
'wikid witches' through a ritual. The kit is designed to give
budding teen witches a kick start in the right direction, allowing
them to interact with other Wikid Witches on an exclusive web
site.
Witch - A Magickal Journey, a combined edition of her first
two books was released internationally to rave reviews in 2000
by Thorson/HarperCollins. Fiona travelled England at the end of
2000 and the United States at the start of 2001 to promot her
book and enjoyed packed book-signings and much public interest.
The first edition run sold out in six weeks and has since been
reprinted several time.
Fiona's fourth Australian book and second international release
is 7 Days to A Magickal New You, published by Random House
in Australia and Thorsons/Harper Collins internationally at the
end of 2001. It is a guide to giving yourself a magickal makeover
in one week, plus lots of tips for experiencing more magick in
your everyday life.
Fiona
now makes her home in Los Angeles, having moved there in late
2001 as her publishing, television/radio and international recording
profile expands. If you want to know more about what Fiona's up
